Virginia Beach, VA – Robert "Rob" Rowe, born on December 28, 1956, in Ulm, Germany, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, in
Virginia Beach, VA, at the age of 69. He was a dedicated and hardworking individual who served his country with honor and lived a life full of love and passion.
Robert began his career as an aviation mechanic, a testament to his skill and precision. He proudly served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, where he exemplified dedication and leadership. Following his military service, Robert applied his talents to various projects, including installing office furniture at the Roudebush VA, Ft. Knox, banks, and schools. He also worked as a driver and installer at Glacier Water, where he was known for his reliability and commitment.
An avid fisherman, Robert found joy and tranquility in the great outdoors and before his illness, Rob was hands-on building garden boxes for Lauren's Master Gardening projects. He cherished his married life with his beloved wife, Lauren Elisabeth Rowe, and enthusiastically supported and enjoyed assisting with Lauren's granddaughters when they were tots, who brought light and happiness into his life.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Sigfrid Rowe and Anky Ooms Rowe. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lauren Elisabeth Rowe, his cherished granddaughters, and other loving family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A private memorial service with military honors will be held at Hampton National Cemetery, Hampton, VA, to celebrate Rob's life and service. The Cremation Society of Virginia, Chesapeake Office, is assisting the family during this difficult time.
