William "Bill" Phelps went to be with the Lord on December 27, 2025. Bill was born on February 21, 1937, in Snyder, OK, to Albert and Eula Phelps. He blessed his family as a loved son, dear brother, treasured husband, cherished dad, and caring uncle.

Growing up as the sixth of ten children, Bill enjoyed running around Snyder and Altus, OK, with his siblings. These formative years instilled in him the value of hard work and sparked his passion for mechanics. In 1957, Bill joined the United States Army to serve his country and make a better life for his first three children: Clifford, Steven, and Delisa. After his military service, he continued to serve his country as a machinist at Tinker Air Force Base, a career that spanned 31 years.

In 1975, Bill met Barbara and immediately knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her; they married the following year. His family grew again with the birth of his daughters, Sally and Amy. Those close to Bill knew how deeply he loved his family. Bill was a talented mechanic and inventor who took great pride in his work. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and anything that took him outdoors.

Bill is survived by his wife Barbara; brother John and wife Phylis; sister Susie; daughters Delisa and husband Rick, Sally and husband Tommy, and Amy; grandchildren Kristen, Steven Jr., Justin, Dawson, Riley, Samuel, Adalin, Benjamin, Zachary, and Easton; many great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Richard, Leroy, Oren, Jimmy, and J.R.; sisters Nora Mae and Arleta; and his sons Clifford and Steven.

He will be greatly missed.
