BOARDMAN - William T. Playforth Jr. 74, peacefully departed this life at his home on September 26 2025.
Born on August 25, 1951, in Youngstown, the son of William and Mary Lou Olgibee Playforth Sr.
William had a fulfilling career, dedicating many years of his life as a CAD Manager for Altronic before retiring. His technical expertise and leadership skills set a high standard in his field, earning him respect among colleagues and clients alike.
Education was important to William, who graduated from Boardman High School and went on to earn an Associate's degree, enriching his knowledge and skills that would serve him well throughout his professional journey.
Aside from his career accomplishments, William was passionate about life outside of work. He loved to golf, finding joy in the sport, and treasured the moments spent with friends and family.
William is survived by his loving wife, the former Kathy Dennison, whom he married on November 16, 2012. He leaves behind his daughters, Carrie Ratliff of Canfield and Julie (Garee) McCully of Louisville, Ohio, along with five beloved grandchildren who were a source of immense pride and joy for him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bruce and David Playforth.
Per William's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.
