Christopher S. Timms left this world peacefully, Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, at the age of 52.
Born Aug. 16, 1973, in Sharon, Pa., a son of the late Rick and Lisa M. Hughes Timms.
Chris graduated from Boardman High School in 1992. After graduating, he took his love for football to the semi-pro level, proudly representing the Steel Valley Blasters.
Chris made a career at GM Lordstown for 29 years. His competitive spirit extended beyond the football field, as he became an avid golfer and a member of the UAW golf league.
Family was at the heart of Chris' life. He wholeheartedly supported his daughter, Zoe, in all her endeavors, cheering her on with unwavering encouragement. In addition to his love for family, Chris had a fondness for travel, particularly to Las Vegas and vacationing with his family.
Chris is survived by his daughter, Zoe (Scott White) Timms of Canfield; his beloved sister, Heather (Tom) Tsarnas; his nephew, Logan Tsarnas, whom he adored; his in-laws, William and Faith Stanko; and his English bulldog, Gunner.
Chris was also preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer Stanko; his maternal grandparents, Merle and Marion Davis.
Family and friends may pay their respects 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at the Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support his daughter for her future.
