He was born in Phillipsburg, New Jersey to the late Clyde O. Plummer and Virginia (Easterly) Plummer.
He was a highschool graduate and worked as a Tool and Die Maker for many years with Rotor Clip of Somerset, New Jersey.
William is also predeceased by his daughter Dawn Marie Figueiras; his sister Claire Virginia Dickson; and his sister-in-law Marleen Plummer.
William leaves behind his beloved wife Gloria J. Plummer; his son-in-law Frank Figueiras, his children William Robert Plummer and his wife Jacalyn of Delaware Township, David Richard Plummer and his wife Tara of New Ringold, Pennsylvania, Raymond Roy Plummer and his wife Jennifer of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Steven Ray Plummer and his wife Olga of Linden and James R. Plummer and his wife Maureen of Barnegat; loving grandchildren Serina Lee and her husband Andrew, Teresa Figueiras and her fianc Alexis, Brittany Vassallo and her husband David, William Robert Plummer II, Haley Lombardo, David William Plummer, Matthew Plummer and his wife Ricki, Daniel Plummer and his wife Marissa, Rebecca Plummer and her fianc Elijah, Bryan Steven Plummer, Nicholas Ray Plummer, Andrew Michael Plummer, Caitlyn Jones and her husband Danny, Jesse Nelson; and cherished great grandchildren Isaac, Vincent, Hayden, Evelyn, and two that are on the way; his brothers Richard Plummer and Paul Plummer.
Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation for William on Thursday August 15, 2024 from 4-8PM at Day Funeral Home 361 Maple Place Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
A funeral service will be offered Thursday at 5PM.
Following visitation, William will be privately cremated.
