William Harlon Ratliff

August 21, 1956 – December 3, 2025

William Harlon Ratliff, 69, passed away peacefully at his home December 3, 2025. Born August 21, 1956 to Elsie and Harlon Ratliff, William was one of 5 children that his parents adored. William's love of cooking started at an early age watching his mom and dad in the kitchen. He enjoyed cooking for all types of occasions, but he got the most joy from whipping up a delicious meal for his kids and their friends. From fish fries to Boy Scout fundraisers he showed his love through this culinary skills.

Those that didn't know him for his good food knew him for his friendly disposition, rarely meeting a stranger. He greeted and loved customers throughout his career at William's Autoparts, B & C Autoparts, and Radio Shack. He was a longtime member at Tylertown United Methodist Church, where he served in church leadership for many years. He also served as a local Cubmaster and helped with Boy Scouts for many years. William loved his family, his siblings, nieces and nephews, but his greatest pride was his grandchildren that he lovingly called "little darlings." William was an outstanding father - steady in the ways that counted, loyal to the people he loved, and forever looking out for his family

He is proceeded in death by his parents and his sister Brenda Labrador. He is survived by his children, Lacey (Eric) Downey, Landon (Kristin) Ratliff, grandchildren Eloise & Davis Ratliff, bonus grandchildren Emerson & Paige Downey, his siblings, Nancy Pratt, Beth Kouloumoundras (Nick), and John (Laura) Ratliff and a host of nieces and nephews.
