William "Will" Preston Renbarger October 9, 1959 – September 28, 2024
William "Will" Renbarger, 64, of Eau Claire, Michigan, passed away on September 28, 2024, after a long fought, brave battle with cancer. Born on October 9, 1959, in San Antonio, Texas, he cherished his upbringing in Eau Claire, where he graduated from high school in 1978. He went on to serve on the Eau Claire School Board and coached youth and high school sports for many years—he loved being a mentor and friend to the kids in his community. He believed in giving people second chances and created opportunities for others to succeed. Will was known for his reliability; he was the person everyone could count on.
Will was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved spending time outdoors, tracking deer, and sharing his interests with family and friends. A passionate Michigan football fan, Will always sported his maize and blue, faithfully following Michigan sports throughout the year.
Preceded in death by his father Bill Renbarger, Will is survived by his mother Betty Renbarger, his loving wife Shannon Renbarger, and his sister Brenda Kay. He was a devoted father to his children: Len (Bridgette), Derek (Emily), Darren (Nicole), Preston (Kala), Tyler (Shelby) Renbarger, and stepdaughter Nikki (Kevin) Salmon. His grandkids—Ryne, Mackenzie, Rigley, Alana, Milah, Owen, Rebel, Maggie, Rollins, Allisyn, and Rome—brought joy to his life. Will also loved his nieces, nephews, and many other kids who weren't related by blood but who he treated like family.
