Eldon Dale Fryer, born on February 22, 1929, in Eau Claire, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, in Benton Harbor, Michigan.
Raised in the arms of a close-knit family, Eldon was one of 8 sibling's born to Helen and Adolph Fryer. His life journey took him to a blessed union with Marilyn Adams Fryer, with whom he created a life rich in love and joy. Although Eldon was preceded in death by his dear wife Marilyn and his three children, Toni, Roger, and Kevin Fryer, his legacy continues through his surviving children, Terry Fryer and Kim Fryer Small, who found in him a constant wellspring of wisdom and guidance.
Eldon's life was a testament to hard work and devout service to his family. After the passing of his parents and his wife, he found comfort in his family that grew to include 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A master carpenter by trade, Eldon constructed not only the frame of his own home but also the homes of many others through the years of hard work which also included 38 years as a press operator at Whirlpool, where his dedication and expertise were well acknowledged.
His devotion to his faith was evident through his involvement at Napier Parkview Baptist Church, where he was always ready with a helping hand and a word of encouragement. His Christian journey was filled with moments of quiet prayer, worship, and devotion to living a life well lived.
Eldon's love for fishing and bowling spoke of a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures and in the camaraderie of friends and family. These pastimes were not just hobbies but avenues where he forged lasting memories and shared laughter.
Described by those who knew him best as hard working and incredibly handy, Eldon's influence on the world was gentle yet profound. He nourished his family with the strength of his commitment to hard work and devotion to his wife Marilyn. Eldon Dale Fryer’s adoring family and friends will remember him as a beacon of love and faith, a man who built his life with the same strength and work ethic —a testament to his character and to the lives he touched.
Eldon's life perfectly encapsulated the essence of what it means to be a faithful servant, a devoted family man, and a true craftsman. His memory will be cherished and celebrated as a legacy that will continue to inspire and guide generations to come.
