William Todd Rich
May 27, 1954 to June 3, 2025
William Todd Rich, known as "Todd" to his family and "Bill" to his friends and colleagues, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2025, in his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland.
Born on May 27, 1954, Todd was the beloved son of the late Elizabeth Bagby Rich and Horace Stuart Rich. He earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland in 1975 and dedicated his career to public service as an Information Technology Manager at the Social Security Administration.
Todd had an adventurous spirit and a deep love for the outdoors. He was an avid rock climber, backpacker, hiker, tennis player, and marathon runner. His passion for exploration took him around the world - most notably to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest peak in Africa.
He is survived by his siblings: Michael Stuart Rich and his wife JoAnn, Milana Rich Isaacson and her late husband Michael, and Elizabeth Slade Gorman and her husband Joseph; a devoted uncle to Jesse Isaacson, Renata Kepner (née Isaacson) and her husband David, Elizabeth Gorman, and Madison Gorman, and a beloved great uncle to Noah Kepner and Hannah Kepner. Todd's wonderful sense of humor, generous spirit, and love for life will be remembered by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at Ruck Funeral Home, 1050 York Road, Towson, MD 21204 on Monday, June 16, 2025. Visitation will start at 10:00 am with a service to follow at 11:00 am. Internment will be held at Druid Ridge Cemetery, 7900 Park Heights Ave, Baltimore, MD 21208.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages friends to spend time outdoors in Todd's honor - hiking a trail, playing a game of tennis, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature – just as he would have.
