William "Bill" Fred Roberson, Sr., 83, of Cookeville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, in Cookeville.

He was born Friday, May 1, 1942 in Nashville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Fred Roberson and the late Mary Della Pointer Roberson.

Bill is survived by his sons: Wes Carter Roberson (Jessica) and Will Fred Roberson Jr.; sister: Agnes White; Brother: Jerry Venable; grandchildren: Westyn Roberson and Houstyn Carter Roberson; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his twin brother: Robert Lee "Bob" Roberson.

Bill was a manager/owner of Roberson's Department Store and in retirement enjoyed countless hours in his workshop restoring American classic cars and playing golf with his friends. He served in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant in Vietnam. Bill played football for Tennessee Tech and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Biology and a Master's Degree in Teaching at Middle Tennesse State University. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday at Crest Lawn Funeral Home located at 800 W. Jackson St. Cookeville, TN 38501. Interment will be at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.
