William Harper Robinson, 84, left his earthly body on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Levine-Dickson Hospice House.
He leaves his wife of almost 61 years, Judith-May Robinson; his daughters, Wendy-Sue McKinney and Debi Ballard Wright, his eight grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well as his sister Joan Pope of Kansas and brother David Robinson of Florida. The dedication and love for his entire family was evident throughout his entire life.
He was preceded in death by his parents William John and Jesse Harper Robinson.
He was born March 8, 1938 at Ideal Memorial Hospital in Endicott, NY and was a faithful employee of IBM for 32 years. He was a proud Navy veteran who passed the equator twice and was present for the atomic bomb testing at the South Pole in the 1950s. He loved baseball and volunteered as a coach in his younger years and then again as a great grandfather. His loyalty to the New York Yankees never failed. He was famous in the family for his sense of humor which coined his jokes as Uncle Billy jokes.
A visitation will be held December 21, 2022 from 6:00-8:00PM at Harrisburg Funeral & Cremation. A funeral service will be held in the spring when extended family can be present.
Harrisburg Funeral & Cremation is serving the Robinson family. Online condolences may be made at www.HarrisburgFC.com.
