William Scott Obituary William T. Scott, 84, of Cambridge, passed away at his home on Friday (December 13, 2024).
He was born August 22, 1940 in Morgantown WV, son of the late Robert Scott and Rosa Bell Gower Carr.
Mr. Scott had worked as a tree trimmer, security officer, and a farmhand for many years.
He was a member of the Harvest Christian Fellowship Church of Cambridge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Jean (Willey) Scott, who passed away March 5, 2009. They were married on March 31, 1983. Also deceased are six brothers; six sisters; a grandson, Matthew Scott; a stepson, Brian McKinney; and a stepdaughter, Shelly McKinney.
He is survived by his children, Bill (Michelle) Scott Jr. of Columbus, Bobbie (Robert) Hall of Columbus, Larry (Sandy) Scott of Columbus, Patricia (Albert) Adkins of Cambridge, and Wayne Scott of Cambridge; three stepdaughters, Jackie Nicley of Kidron, Dajea (Glen) Hupp of Pennsylvania, and Christa (Jim) Hinton of Fleming; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday (December 21, 2024) from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Brent Belcher officiating.
Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, at a later date.
