Susie - My sincere condolences of the passing of your brother Bill. I do remember him while living next to your family's house. I remember that he was present for Alan's funeral.
Abundant blessings to you, my old friend!

I saw Bill often at art fairs in the 70's and 80's. I admired his activism and his courage. Sometimes, I would see something that he had written, and email him. We had many such exchanges. He took the Arts seriously. He will be missed in this world.

Bill was noted by us as a peace activist who really cared about others. He helped me and our guests at Casa Maria Catholic Worker. We give God Thanks for giving us Bill as an example of his love for all. May he now rest in peace and joy.

I did not know much about Bill's activism. I knew Bill as a fellow nature person. We would drive out to a perennial nursery and Bill would buy plants for his backyard prairie- the only one in the neighborhood.

I remember Bill being involved in the peace and social justice and environmental movements and I remember him biking everywhere.

Bill was a great activist who inspired me not only with his advocacy but with his way of life. We worked together promoting public transit and peace - lots of public hearings and flier distribution. Thank you, Bill, for not owning a car. I'll be thinking of you on Tuesday when I'm on the Amtrak to Chicago. Peace.

Bill was a wonderful man, who loved theater and all the arts as well as being one of the most committed champions of human rights, that i have ever known. His light will be missed. Michelle Waide
