To the Sesler Family a light has been dimmed in your family but can burn again if you remember what you were taught, the love, the laughter, the sharing and the caring of one another. Greg know that my prayers are with you and the family. I too lost my father so I do understand the pain of losing a gentle giant who was the driving force in the family, and community. Bill Sesler was a unique man. Growing up I spent a lot of time at their home as I was friends with his son Greg. Bill was always interested in seeing my report card to make sure my grades were up to par and if they weren't he would let me know, I'm a better man for it today. My condolences to the family, RIP Bill.

I first interviewed Bill while I was a reporter for The Meadville Tribune in 1972. He was a class act then, and continued to be until I left Erie in 1999.
I had contacts with most of Erie's corporate attorneys, and I can say he was one of the finest, always honest, compelling in representing his clients, and acting with integrity. And, he always treated me wth respect.
A fine man will be missed in Erie County.

I'm not sure it's possible to adequately express the special human being that "Uncle" Willy was to us and to so many people. From giving the toast at my sister's wedding, to speaking at my father's funeral~ Uncle Willy was someone you could always depend upon. His love and concern for others was evident in everything that he did. His deep faith was an inspiration. We will always remember the warmth and generosity of spirit shared at the annual Christmas Eve gatherings. Our love and prayers always go out to Aunt Cec, Greg, Liz, Doug and all the Sesler Family.

Dear Mrs. Sesler, Greg, Doug and Liz--
My heartfelt sympathies to all of you. I always was so impressed by Senator Sesler and have to share with you a memory I have of him when he drove me and Greg to a homecoming dance way back in 1976. He was such a gentleman and I remember him playing John Philip Sousa on the radio. He said he loved the music! I will always remember that, with fondness.

On behalf of the Erie County Democratic Party I would like to extend sincere condolences to the Sesler family. Attorney Bill Sesler was a lifelong member and supporter the Democratic Party, candidates and democratic issues. When Ted Kennedy passed it was said that the Senate had lost its lion. With the passing of Mr. Sesler the Erie political community has lost its lion. Our elder statesman, revered leader and community philantrophist has left us. We are deeply saddened by his departure. May the Lord, bless keep, and guide the family during your time of bereavement.

Mrs. Sesler and family, I will never forget all that Bill did for me personally, and my family, during the past 60 years. For our Dad, Bill's support and friendship was always appreciated. For me, Bill's example and Senatorial assistance help shape my career as an Educator. My sister, Sue, and I always had full confidence in Bill's legal work on behalf of our Mother (who turns 100 on May 25!!). We hold Bill's memory, and the Sesler family, in our thoughts, hearts, and prayers. Rest in Peace, Bill.

Deepest sympathy to Cecily, Greg and the entire Sesler family. Bill was so interesting and always ready for a conversation. He would often ask about my dad and liked to reminisce about when they used to travel together back and forth from Harrisburg. I remember his fight to floridate the water supply and countless children have benefited from that. He will be missed.
