William (Bill) D. Shaub January 7, 1952 – June 22, 2025 William (Bill) D. Shaub passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 7, 1952, Bill spent most of his life in Canton, Ohio, a place he called home.

A graduate of North Canton Hoover High School, Bill went on to earn a degree in Accounting from the University of Akron. His career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) was marked by excellence, dedication, and an enduring passion for problem-solving in the world of finance and lease accounting.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Dr. Debra Shaub; his son, William Elliot Shaub (Clarice); his daughter, Madeline Martin Shaub; and his cherished granddaughter, Emilie Marie Shaub. He is also survived by close family friends Shane and Melissa Kelly, and their children, Sophia and Jacob Kelly, whom Bill adored like his own.

He was a faithful and loyal husband to Debra, his beloved wife of 38 years. Their marriage was a true partnership built on mutual respect, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they shared countless memories-traveling the world, enjoying quiet moments at home, and navigating life's challenges side by side. But of all their shared experiences, what they were most proud of was raising their two children, William and Madeline. Watching them grow into thoughtful, accomplished individuals was their greatest joy and a testament to the deep love and commitment that defined their family.

Bill will be remembered as a good man-loving, intelligent, and deeply thoughtful. Whether with family, friends, or colleagues, he approached life with a gentle heart and a sharp mind. His kindness, warmth, and wit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Professionally, Bill was a highly accomplished CPA who made lasting contributions to every organization he served. At GE Capital in Canton, his expertise earned him top honors and opportunities to travel with his wife, Deb. He later brought his talents to Hyundai Motor Company, where he enhanced corporate accounting systems and helped lead the design of a new financial platform.

As Chief Technical Accounting Officer at Merchants Fleet Services, Bill played a pivotal role in preparing the company for acquisition by Bain Capital and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority through strategic tax planning and financial leadership. Most recently, he served as Director of Accounting at TimePayment Corporation, guiding the company's reporting and internal controls with precision and vision.

Bill loved life. He had a sharp sense of humor and a joyful spirit that brightened every room. He was witty, funny, and above all, deeply devoted to his family. While the loss of Bill leaves a profound void, his remarkable life will be celebrated for the love he gave, the wisdom he shared, and the many lives he touched.

He will be dearly missed-but never forgotten. His love and legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:45 am at the Rossi Family Funeral Home with services to follow at noon, Very Rev. Fr. Michael Corbin officiating.
