Elaine L. Shaub

Bridgewater, NJ – Elaine L. Shaub, 59, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at home. Born in Baltimore, MD, daughter of Roslyn Natalie (Stoffberg) Levine and the late Harold Shaub, she spent most of her life in Bridgewater.
Elaine was an accomplished musician with both the violin and cello. She was often found playing those instruments at the Congregation Ohr Shalom-The Summit Jewish Community Center where she was an active member. Elaine worked at the VA Hospital in Lyons, NJ, where she recently retired from after 30 years of dedicated employment. She was a fierce advocate for her own independence. Elaine enjoyed going to the Manville Library and Long Hill Library to use the computers. As a member of the Arc of Somerset she enjoyed the friendships developed there.
Besides her loving mother, Elaine is survived by her dear brother, Michael Shaub of Dallas, TX; dear sister-in-law, Jennifer Shaub; adored nieces, Abigail and Sophia Shaub; dear aunt, Sylvia; and cherished friends and workers at the Arc of Somerset and the Congregation Ohr Shalom.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, 189 Gill Lane, Iselin, NJ 08830 on Monday, April 15, at 1:00 p.m. with services officiated by Rabbi Avi Friedman. The Congregation Ohr Shalom-The Summit Jewish Comunity Center will sit Shiva at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835.
