William A. Southwick III, resident of Port Charlotte, Florida since 1999 passed away on February 12, 2024. Mr. Southwick was born in Mt. Holly, NJ and had resided in Edward and Hermon, NY. He retired from the State of New Jersey, Division of Criminal Justice, and previously worked for Hercules, Inc. in Burlington, NJ and Wilmington, DE. He was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard serving from 1963 and Honorably Discharged in 1969. Bill was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church, Port Charlotte and a former member of the Knights of Columbus of Port Charlotte, and Star Lake, NY. He was also a past member of the Charlotte County Curmudgeon Club, Certified Fraud Examiners and Irish American Club of Charlotte County.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Jacquelyn J. (Pyffer) Southwick, 2 sons, Timothy and Gregory, and 5 grandchildren, Morgan, Gavin, Kaydence, Leeonna and Reagan. Also, 3 sisters, Margaret Mushinski, Patricia Andersen and Sister John Michele, IHM and many niece and nephews.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
