William Christopher Spicer, known to many as Chris, passed away on September 2, 2024, at the age of 38. He was born on March 2, 1986, in Waco, Texas, to Joann Woodruff and William Russell Spicer. Chris grew up in Robinson, Texas, where he made countless memories and lifelong friendships. He graduated from Robinson High School in 2004 and later pursued a degree in criminal justice at Sam Houston State University.

Chris was a dedicated and skilled individual with a passion for mixed martial arts. He was a professional MMA fighter and earned the rank of a black belt in jiu-jitsu, demonstrating both his commitment and talent. Beyond his love for the sport, Chris had a deep passion for music. Whether he was playing an instrument, listening to his favorite songs, or attending live concerts, music was a significant part of his life, providing him joy and solace.

He is survived by his parents, Joann Woodruff and William Russell Spicer, his brother Micah Spicer, and his sister-in-law, Alison Erario. Chris was preceded in death by his two sons, Wyatt and Cash Spicer, who were the light of his life. His grandparents, Bill and Geneva Spicer, Norman and Laverne Keinz, and his stepfather, Jud Woodruff, also preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 9th, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Waco Memorial Funeral Home, located at 6623 I-35, Waco, Texas. The funeral service will follow on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024, at 1:00 PM, with burial at Waco Memorial Park, where Chris will be laid to rest.

Chris’s legacy will live on through his family, friends, and everyone who had the honor of knowing him. His spirit, love for life, and passion for music and martial arts will be remembered always. May he rest in peace.
