William Spiker Obituary

Published by McGhee-Givnish Funeral Home, Inc. on Jul. 17, 2021.
William T. Spiker, of Southampton, passed away on July 17, 2021. He was 73. Bill was born in McKeesport to Elsie (nee Petrunyak) and Gerald Warren Spiker. He is the loving husband of 43 years to Patricia (nee Wisniewska); devoted daughters, Christina Spiker (Jonathan Jankowski) and Stephanie Spiker; siblings, Karen Spiker Miller and Gerald Spiker; and many nieces and nephews. William graduated from Penn State in 1969 with a major in business. He worked most of his life as an accountant in companies connected to the electronics and steel industries. His early career allowed him to travel and work abroad in Taiwan and Mexico. He played baseball, football, and wrestled in his youth, and avidly watched sports as an adult. He had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs and cats, and he enjoyed fishing. William was a sharp poker player and our resident champion of Scrabble. He remains undefeated. A private service will be held at the McGhee-Givnish Funeral Home, 690, Belmont Ave., Southampton PA. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem. Donations in Bill's memory may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children at https://donate.lovetotherescue.org/williamspiker.
