William "Bill" Stierle

Mr. William R. Stierle, known by all as "Bill", age 78, of Walterboro, husband of Mrs. Sheron Smith-Stierle, entered into rest Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Colleton Medical Center in Walterboro.
He was born in Wilmington, Delaware. He graduated from Mount Pleasant Senior High School in 1965, where he began his love for baseball and football. He was an avid sports fan. He served briefly in the National Guard. He retired from Verizon Company and then spent 15 years as a Working Host at many campgrounds throughout the United States. He enjoyed camping, fishing, woodwork crafts, and flowers. He was a man of many skills and could fix most household issues. He enjoyed Motor Cycle riding; attending Bike Week in Daytona, Florida; and many Bike rallies in the Delaware, New Jersey areas.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son David (Yvonne) of Bear, Delaware, his step-son Shannon (Ashleigh) of Walterboro, his nieces Barbara Hafner (Micheal) and Susan (Rich) Opalach all of Wilmington, Delaware. He is survived by his brother-in-law Forrest Berger of Wilmington, Delaware. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Harry Hiers (Bonnie) of Walterboro, SC. He is preceded in death by his Parents (Bill and Ruth) and his Sister, Verna Lea Berger all of Wilmington, Delaware.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be directed in his memory to: Grace Advent Christian Church, 398 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
A memorial gathering will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, April 16, 2025, at Grace Advent Christian Church Fellowship Hall, 398 Mount Carmel Road, Walterboro.
