William Taylor Stout, 78, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2024 in his residence. William was born on July 7, 1946 to James “J.B.” and Saline Reeves Stout in Lake Charles, La

He will be remembered as a hardworking man. William enjoyed hunting with his friends in recent years. He graduated from McNeese State University with a bachelor degree in Mathematics in 1970. He taught Electrical Apprenticeship Classes at Sowela for many years. He started Stout Electric in 1980 was there until retirement.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Wanda Ruth Reynaud Stout; children, John Tully Stout and wife Jessica Ann Williams Stout, William Jason Stout, Jessica Lynn Stout Hungerford and husband Jerry Shane Hungerford, and Cindy Stout Cruea and husband Raymond Todd Cruea; grandchildren, Jared Paul Stout, Nathan Cade Stout and wife Madison Claire Guillory Stout, Jordan Kent Stout, Jason Kyle Stout and wife Andrea Savage Stout, Alexis Michelle Stout, Tyler Kain Hungerford and wife Janee’ Thornton Hungerford, Hunter Cole Stout, Anthony Ray Cruea, and Mackenzie Rene Cruea; great grandchildren, Bree Azalee Lewis, Emelyn Kate Lewis, Evelyn Belaire Hungerford, Estelle Jean Hungerford, Margaret James Hungerford, Killian James Charles Pierce, Taylor Wayne Stout, Kyson Gene Stout, and Ruth Lane Pharris; siblings, Beverly Kay Stout, and James Truitt Stout and wife Deborah Stout, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 11:00am at Palestine Baptist Church in Grant, La. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff and will resume on Friday at 10:00am until service time at the church in Grant, La.
