It is with deep sorrow that the family of William J. Strein, of Doylestown, announce his passing on April 13, 2023 at the age of 64 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born August 2, 1958 in Philadelphia to William and Betty Jane Strein, Bill was raised in Warminster, PA and was a graduate of William Tennent High School.
Bill is predeceased by his loving son, Jarrett, who passed away suddenly last summer and his brother Gary (2015) and will be profoundly missed by his loving children Stephanie and Avery. In addition to his children, Bill will be forever remembered by his former wife Audrey Strein (Brian Land), his two sister's Linda (Joe Hirsch), and Laurie (John Varga), along with his eight nieces and nephews, many extended family, and countless friends.
While family and friends are heartbroken by his passing, Bill will be forever remembered for the loving, caring, ever-present, and devoted father whom he was.
After discovering his first child, Stephanie, had Down Syndrome, he became the heroic advocate and loving protector that transformed her into the confident and independent young woman that she is today. Stephanie will always keep the memories of their father-daughter dances, fun vacations in the Poconos, and the many exciting RV trips they took together in her heart.
Bill was forever grateful to experience special one-on-one time with his son, Jarrett, before his passing. Together they strengthened their bond as they explored the country for 100 days in his RV. They traveled from the beaches of Florida to the red rocks in
Sedona, AZ, exploring the mountains and deserts of the west and five national parks along the way.
Bill's best friend was his son, Avery. No matter what the activity they did together, they had fun. Avery will always cherish the many great times they spent fishing in the Poconos, gardening and cooking at home, and just hanging out together.
As a successful businessman and owner of Monroe Data Products, Bill was eager to share his knowledge with his son. Most recently, Bill was helping Avery grow his construction business, providing advice, planning goals, and lending a helping hand with projects.
Family was extremely important to Bill. His close relationships with sisters, Linda and Laurie, are testament to that. Bill's RV enthusiasm was shared with his sister Linda and her husband Joe when they hit the open road, touring the country together and making memories at their lake house. He spent many summer days at Laurie's home swimming and so eagerly looked forward to her festive dinner gatherings with everyone.
To know Bill was to love Bill. He was a great father, dedicated family man, cherished brother and a loyal friend. Rest easy Bill.
We will always love you.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing, Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 9:00AM until his funeral service at 12:00PM at the Campbell and Thomas Funeral Home, 905 Second Street Pike,
Richboro, PA 18954. He will be laid to rest with his son following in Historic Doylestown Cemetery.
