William Hewlett "Billy" Sullivan Jr.July 1, 1950 - December 1, 2024William Hewlett "Billy" Sullivan Jr., 74, peacefully passed into heaven on December 1, 2024, at his home in Fort Mill, SC. Born in Charlotte, NC, to William Hewlett Sullivan Sr. and Gladys Eugenia Grey Sullivan, he was a proud second-generation master plumber and commercial gas piper, dedicating over 50 years to his craft. Billy graduated from Harding High School in Charlotte in 1968, embarking on a lifetime of hard work and dedication to his trade and family.Billy was preceded in death by his parents; his youngest son, William H. "Trey" Sullivan III; and daughter-in-law, Anissa Combs Sullivan. He is lovingly remembered by his surviving family: His sister, Elizabeth "Beth" Sullivan Nicholas; oldest son, Calvin Dudley Sullivan; daughter, Jessica Brook Hunter (Jeremy); cherished grandchildren, Kayleigh Grace and Kaiden James Sullivan, along with their mother, Faith Sullivan; nephew, John Nicholas (Briana); and Marilyn Asbury, the mother of his children, with whom he shared 25 years of marriage. He is also remembered fondly by many other beloved family members and friends.Billy had a deep love for dogs and animals, especially his granddog Jipsie, whom he affectionately called "my girl." Billy enjoyed life to the fullest, treasuring time with family and friends, turkey shoots, fishing, range time, riding his bike and his hoveround around town. He was known for always having a project in progress and bringing laughter to those around him.His legacy of love, hard work, and joy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.A memorial service will be held on February 1, 2025, at 2 p.m. to celebrate his life at Wolfe Funeral Home, 314 Spratt St., Fort Mill, SC 29715.
