William T. Summy, known as Bill to his family and many friends, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at his residence in Randolph Township, just shy of his 91st birthday. Bill was born on February 11, 1935, in Hunker, Pennsylvania to his late parents Charles and Mable (Smith) Summy. He retired from GM in Toledo and also worked at Terex in Hudson. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Summy, who passed on September 30, 2023, and his siblings Chuck, Ed, Wendell, Homer, and Maxine. He is survived by his children William C. (Kathleen) Summy and Ronald (Laura) Summy, his granddaughters Emily (Enrique) Carabello and Jenna (Caleb) Majcen, his sisters Ruth Summy and Marlene Silk, and his sister-in-law Shelley Summy. In honoring his requests, cremation has taken place, and no services will be held. If you want to pay tribute to Bill with a donation, his preferred charity is the American Cancer Association.
