William A. Sutfin

William A. Sutfin, 86, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Ballston Spa, New York on August 2, 1938, to Robert and Marion Sutfin. He served in the United States Marine Corp.
Bill worked for the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation in Albany for many years and later owned and operated Adirondax Service. He was a member of the Community Church in Schroon Lake where he served as Sunday School Superintendent. Bill enjoyed camping and hunting. He loved to socialize with his friends and family.
He was predeceased by his parents Robert and Marion, and his siblings Robert Sutfin, Anita Jenkins, and Joan Woodbeck. Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years Ilene Sutfin, children William Sutfin, Jr., James Sutfin, Jeffery Sutfin, Dawn Riley (Bob), Beth Moro (Scott), and Michael Sutfin, grandchildren Heather, Sean, Daniel, Emily, and Jacob, great granddaughter Savannah, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Bill may be made to High Peaks Hospice, 1247 Dix Avenue, Hudson Falls, NY 12839.
