William "Bill" Russell Taylor, age 70 of Princess Anne, Maryland passed from this earth and entered his heavenly home, safe in the arms of our Lord and Savior, on Wednesday, February 19, 2025. Bill gave his life to the Lord on February 16, 2025, while a patient at Tidal Health Medical Center during church services with Pastor Floyd Richo.
Bill was born to Willie and Marie Armstrong on July 19, 1954. He received his education in the Accomack County School System. During his early life, he worked many jobs, but his most loved occupation was being a mechanic and was the best around when "he wanted to be."
Bill was also a truck driver and knew the road like a map. If you listened to all his stories, there weren't many places old "Billy Boy" hadn't traveled and knew the travel route to each and every one of them.
Bill lived his life his way and didn't care what anyone else thought. He didn't like being around crowds, including family. Bill would ride by our annual family reunion as if he was passing through unknown territory without giving a glance that was how Billy Boy was. Even though he had his ways, he was always there when called upon to aid someone in distress with car trouble, especially family, friends, and many associates and sometimes it was a fee.
There were times Bill gave his best and now the time has come for him to get his rest, so spread your wings and get ready for the best.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tenika Denise Taylor; five brothers, Grover Taylor, Curtis Taylor, Leroy Taylor, Michael Taylor, and Theodore Lewis; and four sisters, Mildred Chisum, Virginia Tull, Doris Schoolfield, and Sadie Fisher.
Bill leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Latoya Copes and Antoinette Copes, both of Salisbury, MD; one son, Antonio Cropper of Pocomoke City, MD; two brothers, John Taylor of Pennsauken, NJ and Sidney (Tammy) Taylor of New Church, VA; three sisters, Gloria Taylor of Sicklerville, NJ and Ethel (Cornelius) Thornton of Pocomoke, MD, and Lela Taylor of New Church, VA; ten grandchildren; a longtime special friend, Rosemary Davis of Princess Anne, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
