Beloved father and grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Bickford of Midland. Age 83 years. The son of the late, Ernest and Laura (Denome) Thompson. Bill was born on November 25, 1941 in Taymouth Township, Michigan. Bill proudly served in the United States Army. He was formerly married to Connie (Lutzke) Thompson; she preceded him in death on April 20, 2014. He retired after 40 loyal years, from GM Buick City. Bill enjoyed listening to music, spending time up north at his cabin on the river; but most of all loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.
Surviving to cherish his memory are two daughters, Shawnie (Bret) Bremer, Saginaw; Peggy (Kurt) Taylor, Freeland; four grandsons, Sam and Ben Bremer, Eric and Will Taylor; girlfriend, Janice Moore, six siblings, Teen Harrington, Sally (Bob) Naylor, Donna (Bud) Werdehoff, Dick (Nancy) Thompson, Tom (Linda) Thompson and Jim (Linda) Thompson. Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by four siblings, Lois, Gerry, Bob and Jack.
Funeral Service will take place Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. (between Shattuck and McCarty) with Pastor Bill Bodnar to officiate. Military Honors rendered by the United States Army and American Legion Post #439. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, where the family will be present on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Careline Hospice of Midland or Greater Michigan Chapter – Alzheimer's Association.
