He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Amber Van Matre; and his children, William M., Alicia, Adrienne, and Luke. Other family members include his brother, Stephen Van Matre (wife, Stephanie); sisters, Liz Ocker and Kathleen Gowin (husband, Ron).
William was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mary (Compton) Van Matre.
His memory will be honored in a private family service.
