Obituary for William Earl Vogel
December 12, 1975 – August 24, 2025
William Earl Vogel was born on December 12, 1975, in Corsicana, Texas, and passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, in Corrigan, Texas, at the age of forty-nine.
William attended Fairfield High School in Fairfield, California, and moved back to Texas at the age of twenty-one in 1996. He was baptized as a child in St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Cabot, Pennsylvania, and again at First Pentecostal Church in Fairfield, California, after moving there with his family. His faith in the Lord carried him through life, and he lived with a heart for helping others.
An adaptive learner with a "direct" spirit, William loved fixing things and working on projects of all kinds. He had a love for music and found joy while spending time with his family. He especially cherished his role as an Uncle, known for the love, patience, and fun he shared with his nieces and nephews.
William is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jane McClendon Jaramillo, uncle James Evert McClendon,, aunt Martha Anne Sellers, uncles Charles Reagon Davis and Troy Lee Davis.
He is survived by his father, William Earl McClendon, and stepmother, Magdelene Burks; his parents, Roger Frederick Vogel and Corrine Ruth Vogel; his uncles Billy McClendon and Clinton McClendon, his brothers, Ronald Dwayne Davis, Charles Earl McClendon, and Everett Lamar Lutz; his sisters, Melissa Jane Vogel, Shelia Rene Vogel, and Desiree Renee Lutz; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends who will miss him dearly.
The family will host a celebration of life service at a later date to honor William's memory.
William will be remembered for his kind heart, faith in the Lord, and the love carried for his family. His legacy will live on in the lives of those he touched, and though he is gone from this world, the joy and laughter he shared will never be forgotten.
