William James Walker, III, of Auburn, Alabama, passed away on October 16, 2025 at East Alabama Medical Center. He was born on April 27, 1949, in Troy, Alabama, the son of the late William James Walker, Jr, and Jane Kelley Walker. He was a retired Information Technology professional at AmSouth Bank and Regions Bank, a member of the First Baptist Church Pelham, graduate of Auburn University and served in the United States Air Force.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Angela Sanders Walker; sons, Thomas Martin Walker and Stephen Daniel Walker; and brother, Robert Daniel Walker.
Survivors include his children, William James Walker, IV (Beth) of Auburn, Alabama, and Wayne Christian Grizzard of Tennessee; uncle, David Kelley; daughter-in-law, Stacy Walker; brother-in-law, Robert Mark (Kimberly) Sanders and grandchildren, Justin Walker; Brian and Bailey Walker; Riley, Will, Ben, Henry and Jack Walker; Gabriel Grizzard; great-grandchildren, Aiden and Attley Walker; niece Tori (Daniel) Moss; nephews, Matthew (Lindsay) Sanders, and Andrew (Kimber Hicks) Sanders; and great nephews, Austin and Noah Moss, Elijah and Ezra Sanders, Bryson and Grant Sanders, and Jacob and Andrew Henderson.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 9:00 am until 10:00 am CST at First Baptist Church Pelham.
Services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 10:00 am CST, at First Baptist Church Pelham with Rev. Daven Watkins officiating.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, for donations to be made to First Baptist Church Pelham's Mission Fund.
Interment will follow in Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery at 3 pm EST.
