William Linzy Washington, 78, husband of Karen H. Washington died Monday, November 25, 2024 at Lake Marion Health and Rehabilitation Center, Summerton, SC. He was born November 7, 1946 in Summerton, SC. A son of Sarah Billie Washington and the late James Washington.
Public viewing will be held 2:00 PM til 6:00 PM Friday, December 6, 2024 at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N Church St., Manning, SC
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 7, 2024, at St Mark AME Church, Summerton, SC. Burial will follow in St. Mark Memorial Gardens cemetery.

Linzy meant so much to the Summerton community but my fist thought foremost was on the Scott's Branch High School in the sixties.He was a vocalist extraordinaire, gone but not forgotten. There were times I took my grandchildren to his barber shop, he not only cut their hair but he taught them some basic skill and I'll never forget his magnificent performance at St Marks AME church singing, Jesus O what a wonderful child.So long to our Pavoroti.
