William E. Weber, 76, of Hatfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025. He was the beloved husband of 53 years to Joan (née Schmidt).
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Frank E. and Mary Weber.
William worked his dream job for over 30 years as a train dispatcher for Conrail. He had many hobbies that he was deeply passionate about and was happiest when doing anything involving trains or trolleys. He was a proud member of the Shore Line Electric Trolley Museum in Connecticut and the East Penn Traction Club. William used his artistic talents to paint and detail model trains and design and build intricate layouts for them to run on.
He was also a dedicated member of The North Penn Stamp Club, where he enjoyed collecting postage stamps focusing on trollies. He served the community as life member of the Hatfield Volunteer Fire Company, where he was a firefighter, driver and treasurer for the company.
Above all, William loved his family. He was deeply involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren, attending every activity-from marching band performances and concerts to sporting events-and was always there to support them.
He is survived by his two children, David R. G. Weber (Lisa) and Christine M. Tressler (Greg); five cherished grandchildren, Zachary, Cheyenne, John, Sadie, and Colt; and his brother, Robert D. Weber.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Catharine Wonneburger, and an infant granddaughter, Cassidy Tressler.
Relatives and friends are invited to William's viewing on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Philadelphia First Church of the Brethren, 8707 W. Cheltenham Ave., Wyndmoor, PA 19038. His funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon, with interment at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in William's name may be made to The Hatfield Volunteer Fire Company, 75 Market St, Hatfield, PA 19440 or
