William Wescott Obituary
Bill was a veteran of the US Air Force. He then became a civilian employee at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, NY, where he retired after 33 years of service. His last career was volunteering for many organizations, including the Stanley Theatre, Seeds of Hope Food Pantry, and the First Presbyterian Church of New Hartford.
He is survived by his brother, James Wescott, and sister, Ruth Rudball, with whom he made his home for the last 5 years; beloved nieces/nephews, Lisa (Mark), Laura (Roger), Ted (Melissa), and Bob (Lisa); great nieces and nephews, Holly (Tom), Rebeccah, Mary (Andy), Roger (Marisa), Karra (Eric), Cheyanne, and Zachariah; and great-great nieces/nephews, Mina, Quinn, Jayde, Syrius, Harlem, and Elijah.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 12 Noon at the Barber Memorial Home, 428 Main Street, Johnson City. The family will receive friends on Saturday at 11am until the time of the service. To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of William, please visit our floral store.
