Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend, William Kenneth Whitten, passed away on May 4, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on June 16, 1942, in Oakland, California, a son of William Herbert and Aline Huber Whitten. When Bill was at the age of three his father passed away. His mother married Clinton Matt which became his father until his death.

Bill joined the US Navy and served his country from 1959 to 1964, serving on USS Hector, at the beginning of the Vietnam Conflict, when he was discharged with an honorable discharge, he had reached E-5, 3rd Class Petty Officer.

Bill married the love of his life, Beverlee Dickamore, on April 28, 1993.

He was baptized a member of the Superior Church of San Leandro of California.

Following his service in the Navy, he started working as a tapper operator with the Boyshan Company which made nuts and bolts. He qualified for the man development and fairing act and went to school at Santa Monica College. Through his connection with his schooling, he gained employment from IBM where he worked on the SD910 Computer and later for the ATM division and retired in 2002 after 30 years of employment.

Bill enjoyed working with woodworking. He could fix anything that came along and he had wired three of his homes. He called himself a jack of all trades. Bill and Beverlee were fortunate enough to travel the world. They went on over twenty cruises and Bill loved to take road trips all over the United States.

Surviving is his wife, Beverlee of Perry, Utah; four children: Scott Alan (Caree) Whitten; Rebecca Lynn (Rudy) Falcon of Downey, Idaho; Jon Scott Reeder (Rebecca) Smart of Texas; Lisa (Nate) Burt of Mantua, UT; one son-in-law, Neil Creer; 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his both fathers and his mother, one daughter, Tina Lin Reeder Creer, one sister Barbara Lee Barton, and half-brother, Herbert Kast.
