William "Bill" Wildman, of Martinsville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6th, 2025, at the age of 76. He was born on September 21st, 1948, in Madison, Indiana, to L. Dale and Wilma J. (Young) Wildman.
Bill grew up in Dupont, Indiana, and graduated from Madison High School. He was married to Stanra (King), with whom he shared forty years of life's ups and downs. He was a loyal husband who cherished his family and valued the time he spent with them. Bill also enjoyed cheering on his favorite sports/race teams, traveling, and making memories with the people he cared about most. He possessed boundless energy with warm smiles, hardy, infectious laughs and spontaneous conversations with complete strangers with whom he later became friends.
Bill spent much of his professional life in finance and investing, most recently serving as President/CEO at Pinnacle Commercial Capital, where his leadership and expertise were deeply valued.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Wilma Wildman. He is survived by his wife, Stanra, of
Martinsville, IN; his daughter, Katherine Wildman, and granddaughter, Gretta Wildman, both of California. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will remember his kindness, humor, and steadfast presence.
The family is especially indebted to the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at Franciscan Health Indianapolis for their extraordinary care and compassion.
There will be a visitation for family and friends on Monday, July 14th, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Neal & Summers Funeral Home in Martinsville. Bill's earthly remains will be laid to rest beside his parents in Dupont Cemetery in Dupont, Indiana, following a private committal service. The family is planning to host a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at a later date.
