William Richard Williams (Pops), 80, of Kinderhook, NY, passed away peacefully in his home on December 31, 2023. He was the son of the late Ralph & Sadie Zelno. He was dedicated to working at Samascott's Orchards in Kinderhook from the age of 16 up until his death, totaling 64 years. He was a great Father. He enjoyed quading with his family, going to the county fair for the demo derby and their food. He was talented when it came to fixing trucks and cars and passed that down to his sons & daughters. William loved to take in cats and always helping his family any way he could. He will be missed dearly.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Wendy Williams and parents, Ralph and Sadie Zelno. He is survived by his sons, Richard and Mark (Sandy) Williams; his daughter, Mary (Carl) Hallenbeck; his granddaughters, Michelle Willams, Julie Williams (Keith), Nicole (David) Rivenburgh and Laura Hallenbeck. He is also survived by his great granddaughters, Sienna, Elsie, Mavery, Anastasia and Ashley.
Graveside services will be 11AM, Thursday 1/04/24 at the Kinderhook Cemetery, located on Albany Avenue, Kinderhook, NY. There will be a get together held at 6147 Route 9H, Claverack, NY in the green building following the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Columbia Greene Humane Society, or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are with the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie.
