William "Bill" Hugh Wingfield Jr., age 95, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at his home. He was born on Saturday, March 29, 1930, to William Hugh Wingfield Sr. and Laura Warren Wingfield in Bienville, Louisiana.
Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served honorably while stationed in Alaska. Following his service, he dedicated 30 years to AT&T in telecommunications management before retiring in 1995. In 2008, Bill and his beloved wife, Marjorie, settled in Mena, where he found joy in tending to his beautiful yard and living a simple, peaceful life at home. A devoted member of the local Republican Party and a faithful attendee of the First Presbyterian Church of Mena for many years, Bill was deeply committed to the Republican Party and his family. As the patriarch, he was a steady source of love, strength, and guidance, always ensuring his family was well cared for.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jim Wingfield; and one sister, Laureen Goldsmith.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Marjorie Wingfield of Mena; one daughter, June Webb of Mena; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
No services are planned at this time. Cremation services are entrusted to the Bowser Family Funeral Home in Mena, Arkansas.
