William E. "Reddy" Wright

William "Reddy" E. Wright, 73, of Sayre, PA, passed away at home with his family by his side on Monday, December 8, 2025.

He was born on February 3, 1952, in Elmira, NY, the son of Allen and Berneita (Johnson) Wright.

Reddy worked for the I.R. Foundry in Waverly, NY, retiring after many faithful years of service. He was a member of the VFW in Sayre and the Sayre American Legion Post #283. Reddy was a regular at Kelly's Pit Stop and the Lehigh Tavern. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed fixing anything.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased his daughter; Tonya Renee Wright, and sisters; Beverly Strong and Alice McKean.

William is survived by his son; David Wright, daughter; Nanci Beard, grandchildren; Tyler (Rosie Fowler) Hazard, Hayley (Zachary) Eldridge, David W. Wright, and Carly Taylor, great-grandchildren; Ariel Grace Hazard, Debbie Rose Hazard, Oakleigh Elizabeth Eldridge, Kingsleigh Ann Marie Eldridge, Clinton James Eldridge, and Maverick Bjorn Archer Eldridge. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law; Vivian and Joseph Harbst, brother and sister-in-law; John and Linda Wright, sister and brother-in-law; Donna and Bob Farley, sister; Barbara Kline, brother; Jerry Wright, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Time of Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 from 11am-1pm at the Lowery-Urban Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at 1pm at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Mountain Lake Cemetery, Burlington, PA;
