Marlene Dziuba Obituary

Marlene (Rought) Dziuba, a beacon of kindness and compassion, passed away peacefully at her home in Sayre, PA, on December 7, 2025, at the age of 74, Born on January 7, 1951, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, Marlene's life was defined by her unwavering love for her family, her dedication to her nursing career, and her Christian faith.

Survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 54 years, F. Michael Dziuba, Marlene's legacy lives on through her loving son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Matthew and Dawn Dziuba of Coopers City, Fla, and her daughter Victoria Jean Dziuba of Phoenixville, PA. Her life's journey was shared with her siblings, Stanley (Norma) Rought, Dianna (Scott) Bennett, and William (Coleen) Rought, along with her sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Kathy Dziuba, Pete ("Mimi") Dziuba, Laurie (Bret) Bowen, and Matt (Rose) Dziuba. Marlene was a cherished aunt and cousin, leaving behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom felt her warmth and generosity.

The Northeast Bradford High School class of 1968 will fondly remember Marlene as a spirited and intelligent classmate. Her friends and family will also remember her wit, sense of humor, and unique laugh. Her passion for helping others led her to pursue a career in nursing, beginning as a Licensed practical nurse from The Riverside Hospital of Nursing in Newport News, VA. Determined to excel, she went on to earn an associate's degree in nursing from Delaware Technical community college in Wilmington, Delaware, and ultimately received her Bachelor's degree from Wilmington College in Wilmington, Delaware. Marlene's professional journey was marked by her tireless service in various hospitals across the country, owing to Mike's military career. She also made significant contributions as an RN Consultant and served with distinction as a nursing home Administrator in PA and NJ.

Marlene's Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life. For over three decades, she and Mike were active members of the Porchtown United Methodist Church in Newfield,NJ. After moving to Sayre in 2017, they continued their commitment to community and faith at the Barton Riverside Church In Barton, NY. Marlene's interests extended beyond her professional and spiritual life; she enjoyed bowling, travel and being a member of the "Red Hot Hatters of Haddonfield." She also found joy in camping at Lake Bonin, crocheting, and immersing herself in the twists and turns of mystery novels.

Marlene was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Marvin and Ella (Ovens) Rought, her in-laws, Andrew and Jean (Rosencrance) Dziuba, her infant nephew Ryan William Bennett, and brother-in-law Peter Dziuba. As we bid farewell to Marlene, we take solace in the countless lives she touched with her gentle spirit and the indelible mark she has left on this world. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of her beloved family and the many friends and colleagues whose lives she enriched.

Family and friends are invited to a period of visitation on Thursday December 18, 2025, at 12:00 noon, at Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main Street, Nichols, NY.
