William George Stevens, born on February 7, 1941, in Altoona, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, in Zephyrhills, Florida. He was 84 years old at the time of his passing.
William dedicated many years of his life to serving the community as a postman for the U.S. Postal Service in Norfolk. His commitment to his work and the people he served was unwavering, embodying the spirit of dedication and reliability.
Beyond his professional pursuits, William was passionate about antique auto restoration. This love for classic automobiles extended to his role as the founder of the Bay State Antique Auto Club, where he shared his enthusiasm and knowledge with fellow enthusiasts.
William is preceded in death by his beloved parents, William and Lorena White Stevens. He leaves behind a loving family that includes his longtime companion, Jean Christian-Richardson; sons Robert (and his wife Caroline) Stevens and Mark Stevens; daughter Kimberly (and her husband Matthew) Choate; and brother Terry Stevens. He was a cherished grandfather to Ryan and Alyssa Wiesnewski and a proud great-grandfather to Olivia Nyx, Layla, and Emily Opel Wiesnewski.
The family will announce funeral services at a later date. William's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of calling him family and friends.
