Willie Woodrow Bacon

Mr. Willie Woodrow Bacon, 92, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest on Monday, January 20, 2025 at his residence.
Mr. Bacon was born in Charlotte County, VA on June 21, 1932 to the late Drewry and Louise Gayles Bacon. He attended Spanish Grove School and was a member of First Baptist Church in Wylliesburg, VA. Mr. Bacon was a retiree of Spaulding Lumber Company with 47 years of dedicated service. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, cutting grass, watching westerns and listening to gospel music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Boyd Roberts Bacon; a sister, Louise Bacon Harris, and three brothers, Thomas Bacon, Joe L. Bacon and J. D. Bacon.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory two brothers, Ellis Bacon (Isabella) of Chase City, VA and Roger Bacon (Joyce) of Baltimore, MD; three sisters, Irene Thompson of Hillside, NJ, Anna Lea and Maggie Wyllicia Crutchfield both of Chase City, VA, three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Willie Woodrow Bacon will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 25, 2025 at First Baptist Church, Wylliesburg, VA with Rev. Opie Terrell, officiating. Burial will follow in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
