Mr. Willie Louis Colbert, Jr. was born on March 14, 1960, in Montezuma, Georgia, to the late Clara and Willie L. Colbert, Sr. On November 3, 2025, Willie peacefully entered eternal rest, surrounded by his loving family.
He graduated from Macon County High School in 1979 and went on to attend Fort Valley State University. Willie later began his career with Blue Bird Body Company, where he worked faithfully for more than 30 years until his retirement in 2022.
In 1989, he married the love of his life, Jacqueline, and together they built a beautiful life in Fort Valley, Georgia.
Willie was a kind-hearted man who deeply valued family, friendship, and laughter. He enjoyed working on cars, watching sports, playing the lottery, and traveling with friends. His bright spirit, easygoing personality, and warm smile made a lasting impact on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brittany Colbert, and his sisters, Vanessa and Gloria Colbert.
Willie leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Cortney Allen, Sr. (LaToya); daughters, Alexis and Ashley Colbert; grandsons, Da’Von Jackson, Cortney Allen, Jr., De’Marian, and De’Corian Allen; and granddaughter, Keri “Berry,” whom he lovingly reared as his own. He is also survived by his brother, Gerald Colbert; sister, Cassandra Colbert; brothers-in-law: John Henry Allen, Jr. and Leonard Allen; sisters-in-law: Lillian and Angelia Allen; lifelong devoted friends: Wayman (Ann) Jessie, David Rumph, Alice Wolmack, Monroe (Ruby) Simmons, and Emanuel (Kim) Johnson; honorary daughter, Amanda Johnson; and a host of loving aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Willie’s legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
