Willie Owen Logan Sr., a friendly and humorous presence to all who knew him, passed away at the age of 76 on August 19, 2024, in Niles, MI. Born on August 27, 1947, in Mishawaka, IN, he was the heartwarming son of the late Willie R. Logan and Verna (McNutt) Logan.
Willie crafted a life rich with laughter and genuine connections, bringing joy to many during his 30 years in the manufacturing sector. He formed lasting friendships through his work and associations, touching lives with his amiable nature. Retirement did not slow Willie down; instead, it opened up more avenues for him to chat and bond with people from all walks of life.
Willie is survived by his loving children, Melissa (Jeffrey) Logan, Bonnie Logan, Willie O. (Laurie) Logan Jr., Jeff Logan, and George Logan; as well as his sister Martha Shoemaker and brother Ricky Logan. He is preceded by his dear departed siblings Rosemary Cooper, Ruth Gibson, Becky Logan, Robert McNutt, Eddie Logan, and Michael Logan.
His daughter Melissa will especially miss their shared shopping trips - a treasured ritual where Walmart aisles turned into lanes of laughter and loving banter. His legacy will be carried on in the stories of his warmth and kindness, for Willie never encountered a stranger, only friends he hadn't met yet.
Willie's infectious sense of humor and friendliness will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to cross his path. His was a life well-lived and full of love.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A private burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery at a later date as well.
