Willie was born in Washington,D.C. on May 15, 1946 to the Late Ester & Pearl Lott. He was raised in Washington, D.C and was educated in the public school system. That's where he met the love of his life, Carrie Etta Fair. They were married on July 4, 1975 and with this union they had two children.
To know Willie is to love him. Anyone that knew him knew that he loved his immediate and extended family, His cars, motorcycles and was a meticulous dresser. His love for cars, motorcycles made him an avid racer, rider. His bike "Strawberry Jam" was featured in multiple magazines. With his motorcycle club, "Touch of Class", they held various events in the DMV area and would later start his own chapter in which he became the President until he decided after years of dedication to retire. But he remained active within the club.
Willie was a longtime employee of Washington Gas Light company. In 2008 after 30 years of service, he decided it was time to enjoy a life of leisure and retired. He also decided it was time to work for himself and started "WL Lawn Service". Throughout his retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, Carrie Etta, and spending time with family.
Willie is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carrie Etta Lott; five children, Celestine Brown of Lane, SC; Carol Frames (Richard) of Howey in the Hills, FL; Tracie Lott of Waldorf, MD; Kevin Lott of Accokeek, MD; Brian Lott of Woodbridge, VA; 10 grandchildren ; 5 great grandchildren ; a sister-in-law Julia Fair of Capital Heights, MD; a brother-in-law Eddie Fair of Charlotte, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death in by his parents Ester and Pearl Lott; brother James C. Lott.
Words cannot express the void and sadness that his passing brings to so many family members and friends. His infectious and candid straightforwardness will be miss each and everyday. But the impression he left will last for many generations to come. And his love for life, racing, motorcycles and cars will be carried on by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
We Ride As One
We're many in Number but we ride as One,
With the pavement beneath us and our face in the sun.
With the wind at our backs and our gear all on,
We ride in remembrance of those who have passed on.
As the engines start up,and our rumble grows loud.
We ride for our brethren who can no longer be found.
The sunglasses we wear are to cover our tears.
Remembering those who ride that we've held so dear.
So let us ride help make others aware.
That the roads that we ride are for all to share.
And to those not with us or by our side,
May God be your partner on your Final Ride.
