Willie Mae Nedd

Our beloved "Mama Vi" was born July 9, 1951 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, New York. Vi departed this life at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, New York after battling a brief illness and was later called to her eternal reward on Monday the 23rd of June.

Vi received her education at Troy High School. After graduating, Vi went off to work as a CNA then went on to Allstate for many years, eventually ending her working career at Travelers Insurance where she retired in 2020. After Covid, she went to work for Star & Strand up until her brief illness.

Mama Vi leaved to cherish her beloved memories to her children, Kim (Arthur Ruthledge) Crumble and Jason (LaTonya Nelson) Glenn; grandchildren, Keiona (Arlene) Galarza and Jayquawn Glenn; great granddaughter, Jazlynn Polen; beloved god brother, Shaunce Burns; her late god sister, Anita Hilton-Mayben; her close cousins, Penny Simon and Dorinda Nedd; with a host of many friends and extended family. 

Vi is predeceased in death by her parents; William Nedd and Willie Mae Bush; and her sister, Carrie Bankston. 

A public visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189 from 11am to 12pm.
