Born on April 8, 1940, in Robertson County, Texas, Dorothy's journey in life was marked by her strength, kindness, and an infectious sense of humor that endeared her to those who knew her.
Dorothy dedicated a significant portion of her career to building maintenance with ABM in Dallas, Texas. Her work was a testament to her unwavering commitment to excellence and her strong-willed nature. She approached each day with determination, leaving a positive impact on her colleagues and setting an example of diligence and hard work.
Outside of her professional life, Dorothy was known for her vibrant personality. She cherished her close-knit family, often expressing her love through laughter and light-hearted jokes. Her family meant the world to her, and her nurturing spirit was evident in all her interactions.
Dorothy had a wide array of hobbies and interests that kept her active and engaged throughout her life. She played softball for five years, an activity that showcased not only her competitive spirit but also her ability to connect with others through sport. Walking was another favorite pastime, and she would often be seen enjoying the outdoors, embracing an active lifestyle. Additionally, Dorothy loved to cook, sharing her culinary skills with family and friends. As an active church member, where she served on the Usher Board, she found fulfillment in being part of a community, reflecting her deep love for people and faith.
Her memory will be honored at visitation services on October 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a funeral service on October 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Both services will take place at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224.
