Willie was predeceased by his cherished wife Suzanne V. Nelson. Loving father of Michelle A. Nelson, William R. Nelson, Meagan L. Jamison, Jillian E. Nelson. Beloved grandfather of Trevelle Q. Nelson, Julisse A. Nelson, Samara A. Mitchell, Billy Nelson, Conner Nelson, Destiny Nelson, Terrance M. Lilly, and Matthew Nelson.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking, gambling, but what Willie loved the most was spending time with his family.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden from 1pm-3pm. Full Military Honors will start at 2:45pm at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at www.hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com.
