WILLIE DELL RHODES, born on September 28, 1940, in Rayville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on December 15 2024, in Dallas, Texas. She was 84 years old at the time of her passing.
Willie was known for her vibrant spirit and diverse interests that brought joy to both her life and the lives of those around her. She had a deep affection for gospel music, which filled her heart with happiness and often resonated with her friends and family. Shopping was another passion of hers, where she would delight in finding treasures and sharing them with loved ones.
In addition to her love for gospel music and shopping, Willie was also an ardent designer and decorator. Her home, a reflection of her artistic sensibilities, was a canvas for her creativity, showcasing her talent and bringing warmth to all who visited. She cherished gardening, nurturing her plants with love and care, and found solace in the beauty of nature.
Willie's love extended beyond her hobbies; she held a special place in her heart for her beloved parrot duo, Bonnie and Clyde. The bond she shared with them added another layer of joy to her fulfilling life.
While Willie had a tender disposition, she was also known for her fearless character, exemplified by her willingness to face challenges head-on. She was known to take matters into her own hands, even when it came to dealing with snakes.
A memorial service to honor Willie's remarkable life will be held on December 20, 2024, at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas-JOHN, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. The service will begin at 1:00 PM and conclude at 2:00 PM.
Willie Dell Rhodes will be remembered for her love of life, her vibrant personality, and the laughter she brought to those fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
