Willie M. Ware

Willie M. Ware, age 92 of Mentor, passed away on December 30, 2025 at her home. She was born on November 8, 1933 in McMinnville, TN to the late James and Mildred (nee: Raeburn) Smoot. Willie worked in Housekeeping for Quail Hollow in Concord for a number of years. She was a member of East Heisley Church of God. Willie enjoyed doing puzzle books, word searches, and baking pies. She loved her cats.
She is survived by her loving children, Danny Ware, Sandra Carter, and Pattie (Mike) Clawson; Grandchildren, Jessica (Rich) Brown, Jennifer (James) VanGunten, Jason (Amy) Harris, David (Jen) Carter, Daniel Ware, and Lindsey (Josh) Lester; great grandchildren, Rebecca, Kaylee, Gabriella, Ashley, Natalie, Kalli, Carly, Ethen, Levi, Logan, Caden, Jordan, Wyatt, Beckham, and Murphy; brother, James Smoot; and dear friend, Deanna Kanyah.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd M. Ware; and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Ware.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 2-4pm at Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville, Ohio 44077. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, January 5, 2026 at East Heisley Road Church of God, 5544 E. Heisley Rd., Mentor, Ohio 44060.
Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Painesville.
