Mrs. Duffey was born on April 16, 1941, in Columbia, Louisiana and passed away on Christmas Day 2025 at her residence.
Wilma was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Before her retirement, she was a bank teller for Central Bank. She leaves behind a legacy woven with love, creativity, and the simple joys that made life beautiful. She was a woman whose presence could turn an ordinary day into something memorable, whose warmth filled every room she entered, and whose generosity touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
A gifted cook, Wilma expressed her love through the meals she prepared each dish crafted with care, tradition, and a touch of her own magic. Her kitchen was a gathering place, a sanctuary of comforting aromas and heartfelt conversation. Friends and family will forever remember the way she could bring people together around a table, creating moments that lingered long after the plates were cleared.
Wilma found joy in nurturing life, whether through her flourishing garden or the relationships she tended with equal devotion. Her garden was her canvas bursting with color, fragrance, and the quiet beauty she cultivated with patient hands.
Her talent for decorating transformed her home into a place of warmth and welcome. Every corner carried her thoughtful touch, every detail chosen with intention. She had a gift for creating spaces that felt like an embrace cozy, inviting, and filled with personality.
Above all, Wilma loved to entertain. Hosting guests was not just an activity for her; it was an expression of who she was. She delighted in opening her home, sharing laughter, stories, and the comfort of good company. Her hospitality was effortless, her joy contagious, and her gatherings unforgettable.
